Everything you need to know about our 2025 Summer Reading Program, all in one place!

For Everyone

This year we have an all-ages Bucket List that will bring lots of fun to your summer, and potentially some great prizes! The bucket list works much like the bingo boards we’ve done in previous years. As you complete activities from your bucket list, you’ll earn raffle tickets that you can put towards any of our 3 prize buckets. Families can complete one list together and everyone who participates will receive their own tickets! And there are additional prizes to earn as you go. Complete 5 activities and get a Level Up At Your Library Bookmark, 10 activities gets you a 6-sided die pencil, 15 earns you a coupon for 1 free book from our Book Shed, and complete all 20 activities to earn a raffle ticket into our Grand Prize Drawing – a gift card to Diversions Puzzles & Games!

For Kids

In addition to the Bucket List (see above for all the info), we will also have our Read & Bead program available for kids to participate in once again! Pick up a reading log from the Children’s Room, track your minutes, and trade them in for fun beads. We’ll be keeping track of all the minutes read by our community all summer long to see if we can beat last year’s record! And if you’re looking for somewhere to stay cool this summer, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered! Every Tuesday-Friday during Summer Reading from 2:00-4:00 pm, we’ll have a different activity happening in the library for you to drop-in whenever you’d like and enjoy!

Special Events

During each of our special theme weeks, all of the afternoon activities will include a special fun twist to fit in with the game of the week! There will be a scavenger hunt up all week long, and we’ll top it off with a movie on Saturday at 12:30pm.

Reading Dragons

New this year, join us every Thursday 11:30am-12:00pm from June 26 through August 14 to collect and play with your own set of Reading Dragons cards! Over the course of 8 weeks you’ll have the chance to earn 32 different dragon cards by tracking your reading!
